To set homework tasks for the future, please start by following the relevant part of this article: Set Homework Tasks.
Instead of leaving the start date on today's date when selecting start and end dates, chose a date in the future
After you set the task and close the view, you will notice that the table looks a little different.
The start date value, in the table for the homework task set, will be highlighted blue and the date will be editable.
This means that students will not be able to see this task until the date in blue.
